Floridly SIGNED in full & briefly INSCRIBED by the author in blue ink on page opposite title page: “(–) with best wishes, Joseph Johnson”. Joseph Johnson was born in East Gippsland in 1941, the youngest of 10 children. His mother died at his birth and he was raised by a cousin. Womb to Let is the second of three novels he has written and is his first published work. Apparently fewer than 500 copies were printed. Printed in Australia by the National Press, Melbourne. Bound in original light blue cloth with bright gilt lettering to spine, in publisher’s unclipped two-tone blue printed dustjacket. Slight toning to endpapers, very mild handling wear, otherwise a nice clean tight solid hardcover copy. 177pp. Scarce signed copy. SB-18. Seller Inventory # 001931
